India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, will represent the country at the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald J. Trump on January 20, 2025. This marks Trump’s swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States.
Apart from attending the event, Mr. Jaishankar will hold discussions with key representatives of the incoming administration. He is also scheduled to meet other dignitaries visiting the U.S. for the occasion, according to the MEA.
The visit underscores the importance of Indo-U.S. relations as the two nations aim to deepen their strategic partnership under the new administration.
